Kelly Andrew Shaw

He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Graham, Texas.

In 1973, he graduated from Texas Tech University with an Electrical Engineering degree, and he later completed his MBA at the University of Texas.

Kelly had a prolific life, living at 36 different addresses across 7 states and throughout his lifetime, he traveled to 59 countries around the globe. That passion for travel was fueled by his open-hearted interest in meeting people in far away places and with his loving wife Leah Shaw, they travelled the world seeking adventure by air and on cruises. Beyond the in-person memories gathered, Kelly enjoyed collecting unique artifacts and keepsakes from every country that he visited, while at the same time, building a library full of travel books.

Over his highly noted business career, his unique skillset and abilities as a team leader, mentor and people person kept him in great demand and as a result, he held executive management positions with 12 major organizations including Siemens, ABB, Powell Industries, WESCO, Hughes Supply, and Florida Power and Light. In total, across his entire career, he led while operating out of 22 separate businesses offices throughout the US, often crisscrossing the country on business trips multiple times each month.

Kelly was an avid sports fan and he always cheered the loudest for his favorite teams, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a published author, caring dog owner and often could be found assembling elaborate puzzles.

Kelly will be most remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and as a dear friend to everyone who had the great fortune of getting to know him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alpha Mae Wallin and Harris Andrew Shaw.

He is survived by his wife Leah, sister Leslye Wilkes, his children Devon, Colin and Somer Shaw, Chase Leonard, and 5 grandchildren.
