Joseph Terence McManus

Joseph T. “Terry” McManus, of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away on June 19, 2023, at the age of 78. He was born on June 8, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, where he attended Chestnut Hill Academy as a young man. Terry attended Marietta College in Ohio for his undergraduate studies, and McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific for his law school education.

He worked as an estate attorney for nearly 40 years, first in California, and then in North Palm Beach, FL and Hobe Sound, FL. Terry loved history, golf, and most of all, his wife, Eleanor. Terry and Eleanor lived in Juno Beach for 26 years, enjoying the neighborhood camaraderie and the proximity to the ocean.

Terry was preceded in death by his brothers, John Lawrence McManus and John Thomas McManus. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Fowler McManus, daughter, Heather McManus of West Chester, PA, stepchildren, Kerry Skiles of Wilmington, NC and Michael Skiles (Amanda) of Jupiter, FL, sisters Ave Moran of Devon, PA and Edna (Neddie) Malloy of Philadelphia, PA, and five grandchildren, Ronan Moore, Connor Skiles, Peyton Skiles, Morgan Skiles, and Ryan Skiles.
