Jeanette Puglio of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away on October 13, 2026 at the age of 78 after a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on June 28, 1948, Jeanette was the fourth and final child of Genevieve and Alexander Sulzycki. She is survived by her brother Alex (Sandy), his wife Kathy and her nieces and nephews Diane, Carrie, Marc, Joey, Jeff and Dave and their families. Her husband Tony, her sisters Betty and Pat and her favorite musician, Jimmy Buffett, all predeceased her.
Jeanette never met a rule she wouldn't question or break - they were merely suggestions until she had the chance to offer her opinion. As a devoted Parrothead, Jeanette understood that somewhere between Margaritaville and It's Five O'Clock Somewhere, the meaning of life could be found - enjoy yourself, don't take life too seriously and never let anyone else dictate how you should live.
Jeanette loved cocktail hour with her friends Judy Sarver and Pam Scanlon; dinner at Zuccarello's with Stu Zuckerman and Joan; and of course, spending time with all of her family and many friends. Jeanette worked for many years in the dental office of Dr. Craig Dean, where she took charge and kept everyone in line.
Although there will not be a memorial service, please have a margarita in Jeanette's honor at a time and place of your choosing. Jeanette's family and friends would especially like to thank the staff at Catholic Charities Hospice of Fort Lauderdale and The Key Home Care of Boca Raton for the excellent care Jeanette received during her final weeks.
