Janice Ann Shawhan

Janice Shawhan of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the age of 80. She was born on February 7, 1945 in Riverdale, MD before the family moved to New Jersey, and finally moving her family to Florida in 1977. She enjoyed her work as an Administrative Assistant, and had many friends at her last place of employment, Dart Container Sales. Janice was an active member of the West Boca Moose Lodge, serving as secretary for the Women of the Moose, providing her expertise in making flyers for the events as well as making donations to ensure their success. She recently joined the Ft Lauderdale Elks Lodge and looked forward to sharing her gifts there, as well.

Janice is preceded in death by her father, William, her husband, Michael, and her grandson, Brian. She is survived by her mother, Ethel, her sister, Bonnie, and two nephews, Dan and Michael. She is also survived by her children, Sherri, Vicki, Carrie, Vince, Kim, Shelly and Shaunda. Additionally, her grandchildren Sara, Heather, Connor, Andrew, Cassidy, Coral, Josh, Kelsey, Matthew, Madison, Kennedy, Rush, and Riley, and her great-grandchildren Skyler, Sloan, Sage, Henry, Penny, Evelyn, and Wyatt.

Janice had a giving heart, a joyful soul, and will forever be missed. There will be a celebration of her life held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the West Boca Moose Lodge in Deerfield Beach, FL.
