Janice was born to William and Gloria Smith on September 24, 1947, in Cleveland Ohio, and graduated from South High School in Youngstown, Ohio. She worked in customer service for many years and retired from Publix Grocery Store in 2013. She enjoyed cooking, holidays, and being with family.
Described as a loving and gentle woman, Janice touched the lives of the many people she met and was filled with love and compassion for everyone. She had strong faith in the Lord, and loved attending church with her family.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, William, brother Bill, daughter Amy, and stepfather Thomas White. She is survived by her mother Gloria White and sister Kristine Stephens both of Youngstown Ohio; her husband of 55 years, Donald and 4 children; Michael (Kristen) Jankowski, Scott (Joice) Jankowski, Mary Bryant, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Journey Church 6201 S. Military Trail Lake Worth, FL 33463. A separate internment service will be held for the family at a later date.
