James N. “Jim” Nair, December 9, 1950 to June 4, 2017. Jim passed away in the hospital after a short illness. He was born in Atlanta, GA but considered Ligonier, PA his home. He moved to South Florida in 1978. He was in the roofing industry for over 35 years and was well known and respected in the industry. Jim was an avid fisherman and loved the water, especially fishing in the Keys; he also loved to golf. Jim was a Vietnam veteran and proud to have served his country. Family and many friends have lost a gentle giant and loving soul. Jim will be missed and forever in our hearts. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; sister, Carolyn Shafer (Dr. Lewis) of Ligonier, PA; brothers, Howard Nair of Nantucket, MA, Lawrence Nair of Nevada, and Mark Nair (Brooke) of Nevada; Aunts, Margaret Mangelsdorf of Latrobe, PA and Elsie Rhodes (Bryon) of Albany, GA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded death by his father, Col. Robert L. Nair, mother, Jimmie Ruth Nair of Oregon, and brother, Scott Nair of Ligonier, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 9:30 A.M.
