I want you all to know a little something you may not have realized about my brother, he had an addiction.  Yes you read that correctly an addiction.  He was addicted to family, God, country, friends, laughter and Coors Light.  My brother liked to dance at parties and boy could he dance.  He did the Jerry shuffle as it became known and you couldn’t help smiling as he did his thing on the dance floor.  He told some very good jokes I remember one in particular that he told on a vacation in Sandbridge Virginia.  It involved a robbery at a liquor store.  He had everyone on the edge of their seats except we were sitting on a sandy beach.  It was a cops story and he told it with a serious straight face even as he said the last line and then everyone started cracking up.  When I bought my home I was working long hours with little time off to even fix things.  My brother Jerry came to the rescue by installing a gas line for our new dryer making my wife very happy.  Carol and Jerry mentored children from broken and troubled homes.  A few of the children they helped, now as young adults got in touch with Carol and Jerry thanking them for helping them grow into fine adults.  Jerry let us tag along on his family’s vacation to Alaska which was amazing and fun for all.  Over the past 7 years of my retirement we have been able to spend some quality time with Carol and Jerry.  That meant a lot to me and Mary spending time with my brother from the same mother and his bride Carol.  I miss my best man.  Peace to you my brother till we meet again.


I immediately liked and connected with Jerry the first time we met when he came to volunteer for Guardian ad Litem. He was a good man and a great volunteer, along with his kind wife, Carol. 💕 We shared a wonderful friendship those 10 years of their service to dependent children.  I could always count on Jerry to handle any situation. He has served God very well and is now in his deserving eternal life. Carol and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. 🙏

I was fortunate enough to be Jerry's friend for years at Sand Pebble. He taught me so much. I still find myself thanking him when I find calm in tense situations. I will miss him beyond words.
