Fritzi Glauser Story Fritzi G. Story, loving wife, devoted daughter and sincere friend to many, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. Fritzi was born on November 23, 1926 in San Francisco, California. She was the beloved daughter of Dorothy and Fred Glauser. She attended and graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco, and then furthered her education at a junior catholic college for women that became part of the University of San Francisco. Fritzi had an interesting life that included modeling for the famous I. Magnin in San Francisco, moving to New York City to be a set designer for Living For Young Homemakers Magazine and as an event planner for Donald Bruce White Catering. She married Beverly C. Barstow who died at an early age. Later on she met the love of her life, Howard C. Story Jr. of Philadelphia and New York City. They enjoyed 45 years of life together in New York City and Palm Beach. Fritzi enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband Howard, seeing the world and visiting their many friends. An active volunteer, Fritzi enjoyed her work immensely with The Boys and Girls Club and the American Red Cross. She had a passion for watercolor painting, needlepoint work and entertaining. Fritzi had a generous heart and was known for showering gifts of love on all the people she held close to her. She is survived by her husband, Howard C. Story Jr., and family members: Howard C. Story, III, Susan Story Cator (husband David Cator), Tabor Story, Caroline Cator, Elizabeth Cator, Lindsay Cator, Johanna Story, and Howard Clay Story IV. All that knew her will miss Fritzi’s love of life and lively spirit. Services will be held at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Church on March 7 at 1pm.
