Eric Eichner

Eric Eichner, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on December 10, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, he spent his childhood in Riviera Beach, enjoying days by Stoney Creek.

A graduate of Glen Burnie High School, Class of 1964, Eric was drafted into the United States Army in 1969. He served overseas in Turkey as a Teletype Interceptor, earning distinctions including the National Defense Service Medal, the Sharpshooter (Rifle) Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1972.

Eric dedicated his career to public service, working as a U.S. Customs Agent for the Treasury Department in Miami, Florida, until his retirement in 2003.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Pauline Eichner, and his sister, Paula Brinson. He is survived by his brother, Matthew Eichner of Pasadena, Maryland, his sister, Sandra Anderson of Annapolis, Maryland, and several nieces and nephews.

Eric embraced life with a passion for adventure, spending his younger years on his boat or motorcycle, and seeking out destinations with sunshine, music, and sandy beaches. In his later years, he found peace in simplicity, relishing sunrise walks to the fishing pier.

Interment will take place at Crownsville Veteran's Cemetery at a later date, where he will be honored for his service and remembered for his enduring spirit and love of life.

He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
