Elaine was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and spent the last 27 years in her beloved Key Largo, FL. She loved organ music and, along with her husband, hosted many concerts at their home in Key Largo and later at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tavernier. Elaine enjoyed raising orchids and was a long standing member of the Orchid Club. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats. Boxers were her favorite breed and Elaine and Claude rescued, loved and spoiled several. Elaine also enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the Osprey. She loved sewing, quilting and embroidering and delighted in giving her creative works away. Elaine was a four time stroke survivor, a tough lady with a heart of gold and a beautiful, contagious smile that blew any clouds away and lit up the room. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 11 AM on May 25, 2019. Immediately following the service the family invites you to join them as they continue to celebrate Elaine's life at a reception, which will include a birthday cake, in honor of Elaine's 84th birthday, which is on the same day.
