Edwin Phillips

In the morning of May 6, 2025 Edwin Phillips passed away after battling many years with heart disease and finally heart failure. He was the only child of Paul and Anna Phillips in West New York, New Jersey. He grew up loving to read and watch movies. He earned his BS degree in Education from Trenton State and taught 8th grade in Point Pleasant NJ. He later became a High School guidance counselor earning a Masters degree from Seton Hall. Ed married Miki and they were fortunate to spend 66 years together. They raised two children, Shawn and Keith in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Ed and Miki retired and moved to Boca Ration Florida. He volunteered working with the Indians at the Indian School on a reservation in Arizona.

Ed is survived by his loving children Shawn (Kevin)Simon and Keith (Ginny) Phillips. Grandchildren Sara Picone, Evan Phillips, Andrea Malad, Eric Phillips, and Alyse Martin and six grandchildren.

Service to be at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of the Carlisle and caregiver Nancy for the love and care he received.
