Edith Ann Hill Williams

August 28, 1925 – September 9, 2018

Edith Ann Hill Williams, 93 of Fort Lauderdale, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Edith was the beloved wife of William W. Williams, and resided in Fort Lauderdale since 1956. She was a former nurse at John Knox Village. Mrs. Williams was a loving, giving, and kind-hearted woman; she especially loved her church.

Edith is preceded in death by her husband, William W. Williams; son-in-law, Nicholas Russo; grandsons, Nicholas A. Russo and Matthew Russo; brother, Paul Hill; brother-in-law, Fred Hicks. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheryl Russo, William J. Williams (Kerry), David A. Williams (Denise) and Cindy Russo; grandchildren, Noelle Russo, Jennifer Russo Buggert (Dwayne), Cherie Russo Collins (Tim), Adam Russo (Jammie), Rebecca Russo, Eric Williams, Brian Williams (Courtney), Sean Williams and granddaughter-in-law, Katie Russo. Edith was also a loving great grandmother to Andrew, Maura (Yerlyn), Patrick, Connor, Cade, Sadie, Grace, Brook, Cecelia, Georgia, Matthew, Paul and Quinn; as well as a great-great grandmother to Adrianna and Miranda. She is also survived by her loving sister, Fay Hicks of Colorado; as well many nieces, nephews, loving friends and neighbors.

The celebration of Edith’s life will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at First Christian Church, 2725 Northeast 14th Avenue, Wilton Manors, Florida 33334. Contributions in memory of Edith Williams may be given to the American Cancer Society.
