Earl Evans Sims
May 11, 1934 – July 2, 2023
Earl E Sims Sr "Pops" of Lantana,Fl passed away on July 2,2023 at the age of 89. He was born on May 11,1934 in Lindenwold,NJ where he grew up. He moved to Florida in 1965 with his wife and children.
Earl graduated from Overbrook Regional Senior High School in 1953 and joined the Army National Guard Reserves in 1955 to serve his country. Earl was a fabricator on the USS Kittyhawk CV-63.
He worked as maintenance supervisor for PBC Parks and Recreation and retired at 62.
Earl was actively involved in auto racing. He enjoyed photography and took many pictures of nature, animals and race cars.
Earl is survived by his wife of 68 years Doris Sims and two children, Doris (Jerry) Kinney, Earl (Jessie) Sims Jr and grandson Jerry Kinney III
He requested no service and to have his ashes scattered at sea.
