

Cynthia attended prep school at The Taft School in Watertown Connecticut graduating in 1975, and then attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana graduating with a double major in Political Science and Classics in 1979. She then continued her education to receive a JD degree from Loyola Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1983.
Cindi was a licensed member of the Louisiana Bar Association and practiced law there. She served as a VP of Compliance, Chief Compliance Officer, and General Counsel for major Corporations for 35 years.
Cindi was a loving wife and devoted mother. She was selfless, warm, kind, optimistic, and fun loving. Cindi loved life and gave generously to the community. Family was the most important thing to her and they will miss her beyond measure.
She is survived by John Sorci, loving husband for 19 years and two children, Elisa Nina Shoff of Cooper City, Florida and William Zachary Shoff of Weston, Florida. She also leaves a son-in-law, William Christopher Oniszko and granddaughter, Quinn Marie Oniszko both of Cooper City Florida. Cynthia also leaves a sister, Anita Louise Curtis of Port Richey, Florida and two nephews, Matthew Lawrence Curtis of Windsor Locks, Connecticut and Alexander Joseph Curtis of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Cynthia’s name.
