Chester Grossman (1923 - 2017) Chester Grossman, 93 years old, of Boca Raton, formerly from Minneapolis, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 6, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, survived by his wife of 64 years, Charlotte, children Teri Ross, Wendy Grossman (John Greathouse), and Craig Grossman, and grandchildren Colby, Kyle, and Kacie. He took great pride in his family, tirelessly and selflessly supporting them in their endeavors. A compassionate soul with a tremendous spirit of generosity and keen intellect, Chester was beloved by many. He was a proud WWII Vet in the Army Air Force, flying 33 missions in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He will be remembered with much love and affection for his ready smile, kind disposition, big heart, and enthusiasm with which he shared his mastery in playing and teaching the game of bridge. He never lost the quick wit and sense of humor that were his trademarks. A memorial ceremony celebrating Chester’s life will take place in the family home on March 31 at 12:00 p.m., after which visitors wishing to pay their respects will be received until 4:30.
