

Plantation, Florida - Charles L. Laskey Jr., aged 88, passed away peacefully on October 29th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 9th, 1935, in Staten Island, New York, and spent his formative years in this vibrant city.
Charles graduated from Florida State Christian College in 1971, an achievement of which he was immensely proud. He went on to dedicate 30 years of his life to a successful career in industrial engineering management, leaving an indelible mark in his field.
During his life, Charles dutifully and proudly served his country as a veteran of the Korean War. He had a deep passion for adventure and exploration, and he nurtured this love by traveling extensively and scuba diving, often sharing these experiences with friends and family. Charles was an avid chess player, sharing his wisdom and skills with many of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his later years, he found joy in the pursuit of genealogy, delving into the rich tapestry of his family's history.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles L. Laskey and Gertrude Laskey, and his brother, Dr. Richard Laskey. He is survived by his beloved wife and the love of his life, Alice Laskey, and their daughters, Dorean (Robert) Corti and Dawn White. He leaves behind a legacy of love and pride in his grandchildren, Robert (Angela), Vito (Anne), Tara, Bianca (Bryan), April, and Charles, as well as his great-grandchildren, Gianna, Anthony, Olin, and Joseph.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Trustbridge Hospice Care for the care and compassion they provided to Charles during his final days.
Private interment services will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Charles L. Laskey Jr.'s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause that was close to his heart.
