She was born on October 6, 1941, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Edward and Virginia Kirschner and was raised in Hamden, Connecticut. Carole attended Hamden High School and graduated from La Salle University in 1961. Carole married Daniel W. Wilson in September 1963; the marriage ended in divorce in 1977.
Carole spent most of the 1970’s living in Roanoke Virginia where she was active in the PTA at her children’s schools, and worked as an interior designer. In 1985 Carole moved to Richmond Virginia to pursue a career in radio advertising sales where she was consistently a top performer. That career success sent her to the much larger media market of Baltimore Maryland in 1987 where she continued to excel in radio sales, consistently out performing expectations. In 1993 Carole retired from her career and moved to Boca Raton Florida to be closer to her mother. A longtime resident of Boca Raton, Florida, Carole was active in several local charitable and business organizations, including The Junior League, Soroptimist, Women and Wishes and several others. She maintained a wide circle of friends and acquaintances through her social and community involvement and remained a vibrant and active person until her final days. It is well known that Carole never met a stranger.
She is survived by her two children, son Craig Wilson (Alison) and daughter Heather Wilson; four grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Madison, and Lindsay; and three great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, Carole will be interred next to her parents in Connecticut. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date. Those who wish to leave a memory or sympathy or memory may contribute in her honor to Trustbridge Hospice of Palm Beach County.
