Betty Jean Garelick

Betty Jean Mann Garelick died peacefully April 18, 2019, at the age of 96 in Boca Raton, Florida. She was born in Savanna, Illinois, and is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Marty, who died on February 2, 2019, her parents Mata Martha and Vernon Henry Mann and her sister, Berness Marie Mann McFaddin.

Betty was a supportive corporate wife willingly moving 18 times during Marty’s career. They married in 1951 and during their married life they lived in Chicago, Milwaukee, Terre Haute, Portage, Des Moines, Aberdeen, Perry, Seattle, Washington, DC, Newark, Maui, and Boca Raton.

She enjoyed visiting with family and traveling with Marty. The two of them made numerous trips abroad during his retirement enjoying 32 ocean and river cruises.

A grave side service will be held in Sardinia, South Carolina, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated at Sardinia Presbyterian Church at 1386 Garland Road, New Zion, SC 29111.
