Bernice (Bunny) King, 87, of Boynton Beach Florida, formerly of Boca Raton Florida, passed away on February 11, 2017. She is survived by her husband Charles King whom she was happily married to for 66 years, her four children: Robert King, Debra Slack, Pamela Shahmohammadi , Patricia Link, and her 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.She is also survived by her sister Janice Dupuis. Bunny was born in England but her family moved to the United States when she was a young child. One of Bunny's other loves was her career in Real Estate. While living in Boca Raton she opened her own real estate company Bunny King Realty. Bunny was President of the Boca Raton Board of Realtors, a founding member of the American Business Woman's Association, a member of the Boca Raton Realtor Attorney Committee and the Women's Council of Realtors. As though that wasn't enough, Bunny also served as a member on several State and National Committees for Realtors. During this time she received numerous awards such as Realtor of the Year, American Business Women of the Year, Honor Society of the Boca Raton Board of Realtors and the Honor Society of the Florida Association of Realtors, just to name a few. Bunny was committed to professionalism in the industry along with her dedication to service which led her to develop and spearhead training for several real estate companies. Bunny always gave back to her community by raising thousands of dollars for Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethons, Insight for the Blind, Toys for Tots and a shelter for abused women. Mrs. Bernice M. King will be laid to rest at the National Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth on March 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Heart Association.
