Virginia Eileen Perry

Virginia Eileen Perry, 73, of Garland, Texas, passed away on August 3, 2026. Born in Jacksonville, Texas, Virginia was a woman whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, faith, and an extraordinary love for the people around her.

To know Virginia was to know someone who genuinely cared about others. She had a generous heart and was always willing to give—whether it was her time, her resources, a helping hand, or simply a listening ear. She gave freely and often to people and organizations in need, never seeking recognition for her generosity. Helping others was simply part of who she was.

Above all else, Virginia treasured her family, and nothing brought her greater joy than being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger L. Perry; her two sons, Brett L. Perry and his wife, Randi, and Chase A. Perry and his wife, Lauren; and her four beloved grandchildren, Kennedy and Cannon, children of Brett and Randi, and Emma and Elyse, children of Chase and Lauren. She is also survived by her sisters, Gwen Healy, Sharon Ealey, and Carol Larimore.

Virginia's love for her grandchildren was especially evident. She cherished every moment with them and took immense pride in watching them grow. Her love, encouragement, and generosity will remain a part of their lives and memories forever.

Virginia also had a deep love of music, which brought her tremendous joy throughout her life. But perhaps the greatest defining part of Virginia was her faith in Jesus Christ. Her faith was not simply something she believed—it was something she lived. She possessed a special and unwavering faith, trusting in Jesus Christ and carrying that faith with her in the way she loved, served, forgave, and cared for others. Her faith was a source of strength to her and an inspiration to those who knew her.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Buckner Posey and Mildred Posey.

Her family will remember her not only for the years they were blessed to have with her, but for the lasting example she left behind: to be kind, to give generously, to love deeply, to care for others, and to hold firmly to faith.

Virginia's family finds comfort in knowing that her faith has brought her home, and that she is now at peace in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Though she will be profoundly missed, her love, kindness, generosity, and faith will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.

At Virginia's request, the family will not be holding a funeral service or memorial. In keeping with the spirit of Virginia's faith and her desire to help others know the love of Jesus Christ, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Gideons International in her memory. This reflects Virginia's belief in the importance of sharing the Gospel and living out the command Jesus gave in Matthew 28:19-20:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,l baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
