Thomas Kenneth Junker Sr.

Thomas K. Junker, Sr. went to rest on Saturday, June 17 at the age of 58. He was a dedicated husband for more than 32 years of marriage to his wife Jo Ann (Gamel), and a loving father to his three children. He was born to Thomas and Ruth Junker of Cincinnati, OH. Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Linda. He was a devoted and loving father of three children, Thomas (Lauren) Junker, Jr., of McKinney, TX; Samantha (Toby) Wommack of Fort Worth, TX; and Alison Junker of Nashville, TN. He leaves behind five grandchildren, which were his greatest joy; his sister, Nancy Junker, of Cincinnati, OH.; his brother, Kenny Beckenhaupt, of Indiana and many other loved ones. Tom was an exceptional athlete at LaSalle High School in Cincinnati, OH. He went on to play basketball and baseball at Thomas More College. He loved playing all sports later in life, coaching and spending time with family and friends. Tom was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano, TX. Tom and Jo Ann had a large circle of friends made during the many years they lived in both the Cincinnati and Dallas areas. Tom was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all. A funeral mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano, Texas on Saturday, June 24 at 2pm. A reception in St. James Hall at Prince of Peace Catholic Church will follow the mass along with a celebration of his life at their home.
