Stormy Leigh Watkin

Stormy Leigh Watkin passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in The Colony, Texas. She was 4 ½ years old and was the light of the lives of her mother Emma, her grandmother Joan and her doting Aunt Caroline and Uncles Chris and Michael. She was a powerful force in our lives and brightened up the lives of everyone she met, from her therapists at Children’s and all her fabulous doctor’s to her teachers at Camey Elementary and all the people who loved Stormy.

Stormy was loved by all and her infectious singing and scooting around in her walker brought smiles to all who knew her. She loved to sing her favorite songs from Old Macdonald to The Wheels on the Bus – she just recently learned to say shush, shush, shush complete with actions by putting her tiny finger to her mouth…she was so funny and impressed us every day. She took her first independent steps just days before she left us. All of us will miss our little girl and we will try to remember her for all the happiness she brought into our lives.

A celebration of Stormy will be held at Preston Meadow Lutheran Church, 6801 Coit Rd, Plano, TX 75024 at 11 a.m. Saturday August 19, 2023. For her extended family and friends there is a video feed that will be available 15 minutes before the celebration. For those that will be able to share their memories with us in person, please do not wear sad colors. Stormy was a fierce and vivacious little person and she loved all of her short life. Please help us celebrate her by wearing the colors that she so loved.
