Bob joined the US Navy at 17. He spoke fondly of his time at Sebana Seca Naval Base in Puerto Rico. Bob learned Spanish from locals and bonded over their love of motocicletas. His naval career continued aboard the USN Claude V. Rickets. This post earned him the Naval Expeditionary Forces Award for service during the Iranian Embassy Crisis.
For the last 20 years, Bob enjoyed working at Texas Instruments. He built his dream Harley. He loved to ride motorcycles with his children. He spent much of his free time designing shirts for and hanging out with the guys at Thunderchief Garage.
Bob is survived by his wife of 23 years, Amanda McFaddinBauer, daughter, Heather Vaughn of Palestine, TX and son, R. Joshua McFaddin of Princeton, TX. He has three grandchildren, Madilyn, Carson and Xander.
Bob is also survived by his parents, Robert and Ann McFaddin of Tyler, TX. He is further survived by sisters, Judy McFaddin, Mansfield, TX, and Debbie Albright, Tyler, TX, and brothers, Ricky McFaddin, Tyler, TX and Kenny McFaddin, Arp, TX, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bob is predeceased by his first wife Carrie Ann Winters.
A memorial ride and gathering will be held October 23rd, at Thunderchief Garage, 411 E. Erwin Ave, McKinney, TX 75069. Bob had requested that his ashes be scattered at sea by the Navy.
