She was born on January 31, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Dr. Ronald and Linda (Yoder) McLin. Rhonda is survived by his sister Deanne McLin of Centerville, Ohio and brother; William (Alisa) McLin of Calgary, Canada.
Rhonda graduated from Kettering Fairmont West High School, Kettering, OH and Ohio University, Athens, Ohio with a BS in Communications. She returned to school and became a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Rhonda worked as a PTA in Ohio and Texas for over 27 years. During her PTA tenure, Rhonda worked over 11 years in the Department of Neurology-Neuromuscular Division of UT Southwestern Medical Center performing research assessments and clinical diagnostic testing. She retired in 2022 after working for Beacon Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation for 9 years. Rhonda dedicated her professional career to helping people of all ages heal and improve the quality of their lives. Her goal was to always make a positive difference in the life of each of her patients.
Throughout Rhonda’s life athletic activities were a cornerstone. Early and as a young adult, organized sports such as softball, basketball and track helped develop her as a team player. While studying at OU she participated in club sports, rugby being one of them. Rhonda continued to enjoy outdoor activities by swimming, cycling, walking and staying active. Rhonda loved all animals, and she especially loved her dog, Mia.
Rhonda enjoyed artistic pursuits and had worked with paints and ceramics. She eventually found stained glass as the artistic medium where she could express herself. Many friends received personal gifts that she made especially for them. Creativity in the kitchen was also a talent of Rhonda. She loved to try new and different foods and was excited to share a new recipe with you that she had just tried. Rhonda will be remembered by family and friends for her sense of humor, a caring nature, her independence, and how she approached life wholeheartedly. She will be greatly missed.
Neptune Society is assisting the family with arrangements. A private graveside ceremony will be held at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations in honor of Rhonda can be made to your favorite woman’s charity or animal charity.
