Nancy Jean Schrader

Nancy was born in Waverly Iowa. She was in 4H showing calves. After getting her GED she moved to Des Moines Iowa. Then she moved to Dallas Texas 1970 and worked for Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages for 30 years and retired in 2000. She meet and married Neal Schrader June 25th 1972. After she retired from Southwestern Bell she did other advertising, for a couple more years. They traveled to Alaska and Canda visiting RV campgrounds to rate them for advertisement. Then returned to Texas where they bought their retirement house in 2008.

Nancy was an avid motor home traveler; they went to all but 2 States including Alaska. They would go on the weekends and other times weeks. She always took her dogs with her in the RV, she would even sneak one of their dogs in the movie theater with her. Nancy also enjoyed cooking, reading variety of books, painting, ski boating, animals, card games, working in the garden and loved to socialize. She loved John Wayne Movies, she collected dolls and loved music of Barbara Streisand.

Her favorite place to travel was Hawaii.

Nancy is survived by 2 children, Cindy Peters, Sherry Smith, brother Gary Albrecht, 3 grandchildren Kristen, Tiffany, Chelsea and 10 great children.

Nancy was gloriously reunited in heaven with her husband Neal Schrader, parents Harley and Eileen Albrecht, brother Denny Albrecht. along with dear family members and countless friends. Oh, what music must have arisen.

Visitation will be held on July 19, 2025 at 1:00pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church in McKinney, Texas followed by Nancy's Celebration of Life ceremony at 2:00pm with a reception immediately following.
