Lucia Lee Clay Wilson, 68, of Carrollton, TX died after an ongoing struggle with cancer on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Memorial services for Lucia will be held at the Holy Covenant United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 11, at 2:00 pm. Lucia was born in Williamson, WV to Kelsey and Norma Marcum Clay. She and the family moved to Dallas in 1956. She was educated at Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas and married John K. Wilson in 1967. Together they had two children, Michelle "Missy" Wilson of Frisco and John M. Wilson of Carrollton. Lucia worked over 45 years in the family business, The Lee Company. Her greatest joys were her children and her granddaughter whom she supported in her interests of singing, roller skating and dancing. She was her granddaughter's number one fan and attended as many of her performances as she could. Lucia will be remembered for her indomitable sense of humor and her kind heart. Throughout her prolonged illness she always had the ability to make others laugh. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carolyn Sue Terry and sister-in-law Judy Nickelson Bock. She is survived by her husband John, children Missy and John, sisters Okey Martin of Sterling Heights, MI, Brenda Riggs of Plano, TX, Myra Soto of Lewisville, TX, brother Carl Clay of Dallas, TX , granddaughter Julia Holt of Frisco, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Park and the staff of Texas Oncology in Carrollton for the care and support they provided and a special thanks to her sister Brenda who gave Lucia steadfast support as her caretaker during her long illness.
