John Byers (Jack) DuLaney passed away September 18, 2016 after suffering a stroke earlier this year. Jack was born in Syracuse, New York in 1934. His family moved to Dallas in 1949 and Jack attended Highland Park High School where he excelled in baseball and basketball. He then went on to The University of Texas at Austin and upon graduation enlisted in the Army where he served 2 years in Korea.Jack’s professional life was centered on the travel industry, first with American Airlines then Tradewind Tours of Hawaii and later with the Hong Kong Tourist Association. Jack is survived by his 4 sons; Mike (Patti), Rick, Ward (Ashley) and Brad; 7 grandchildren; Abby, Brant, Bailie, Annie, Hayden, Parker and Ellie DuLaney; brother Tom DuLaney, sister Barbara Franklin; 3 nephews, Ben Franklin, Matt and Alex DuLaney and niece, Trish Franklin. In his later years, Jack took great pleasure in being a part of family activities and celebrations. The family would like to thank friends and loved ones for their caring and prayers.
