She never gave up fighting, and over the years she would battle and defeat cancer multiple times. On Monday, June 5, 2017, Janelle passed away at her home in Frisco, TX surrounded by her family. A 1989 graduate of North Mesquite High School Janelle went on to earn two college degrees. A Bachelor of Science, Human Development & Family Studies, from Texas Tech University in 1993 and a Master of Science, Childhood Development & Family Studies, from The University of North Texas in 1996. After working for a couple of years, Janelle became a homemaker with the birth of their two children. She loved animals –dogs, cats, dolphins, turtles, frogs and even butterflies, but her true passion was working with children, especially her own. Janelle is survived by her husband; their children, Katherine Elizabeth Carter and Paul Eric Carter; as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Janelle will be deeply missed by her family and everyone that knew her. We will continue to celebrate the life of Janelle Ealey Carter.
