GROUNDER, William “Bill” Grounder, 85 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2017. A memorial service will be held October 17, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Royal Haven Baptist Church 3700 Valley View Ln, Dallas 75234. Interment at DFW National Cemetery at a later date. Bill was born in Old Town, Maine on October 7, 1932. He proudly served his country in the Korean War as a member of the Air Force. He stayed active with the Korean War Veterans Association up until his death. Bill was owner of Sun-x International and has spent the last 45 years in the Solar Control Window film industry. Bill’s philosophy was to give great customer service. He would say, “We don’t sell window film, we sell customer service.” He was well loved and respected by his Sun-x family and longtime customers. Bill and his wife Kathleen were members of Royal Haven Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, Texas where he served as a Deacon. Survivors include his wife Kathleen Grounder. Three children Leslie Polsek, Kathy Mahaffey and Thomas William Grounder. His Sun-x family, Pam Avlos, Jeff Thompson and Cameron Roark along with numerous friends and loved one’s.
