To be loved by Ruth was a blessing. She was supportive, kind, nonjudgmental, intelligent and loyal. Her wit was matched by none, and her laugh was infectious. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and quilting. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed writing. Whether with her kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews, she was always ready to entertain with a board game of their choosing. One of her favorite family activities was playing Rook. If there was a gathering of four or more, Rook was always an option. Ruth loved animals and despite never considering herself a cat-lover, she doted on her cats and any stray that found its way to her.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 3 at 241 Reeves Road, Monterey, Louisiana 71354.
