She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 7, 1938 to Willie Ace Querner and Pearl Ruth Sargent Hubbard. Deanna graduated from St. Mary’s Hall in San Antonio, Texas in 1956. She attended the University of Texas and was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta and an avid Longhorn fan. Deanna graduated from Trinity University in 1960. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Lt. Col. Thomas P. Hubbard and her in-laws, Richard Edgar and Vera Elizabeth Hill Selzer.
Deanna is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Selzer, children, Richard Selzer II(Kim), Sheridan Jones, and Robert Selzer (Molly) and only grandchild, Abby Selzer.
Deanna and Richard raised their family in Terrell, Texas where she started the Presbyterian Kindergarten. Her oldest son was in the inaugural class. Richard and Deanna operated Selzer Home Furnishings in Terrell and she was licensed by the State of Texas Architecture and was certified by the American Society of Interior Designers and decorated many beautiful homes.
Richard and Deanna moved their family to Chandlers Landing in Rockwall around 1982 and started Avian Flyaway, Inc.
Deanna enjoyed tennis, traveling and cruising with her husband and family. They had been on over 30 cruises. Deanna loved to have a beautiful yard and home - she had a green thumb which she passed on to all of her children.

Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October, 11, 2023 at The Yacht Club at Chandlers Landing-501 Yacht Club Dr., Rockwall, Texas from 5-7pm.
