

Carol’s life was marked by deep love, steadfast faith, and a genuine passion for people. In her early thirties, while living in Dallas, she met BJ in an unexpected but life-changing encounter. Their relationship became a defining part of her life, and through him, Carol was introduced to the Lord—a faith that would grow to shape her purpose and daily walk. They were married for 27 years and remained devoted to one another until his passing, a love marked by faithfulness and tenderness. Those close to her remember her unwavering presence at his bedside in the ICU, a reflection of her loyal and compassionate heart.
Carol’s faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was passionate about reaching those who did not yet know Christ serving faithfully in local outreach reaching individuals with invitations and messages of hope. Carol was known for her joyful spirit, helpful nature, and loving heart. She enjoyed helping others learn new technology, sharing gardening tips, loved cats and vegetable gardening, and always seemed to have a bounce in her step and a song on her lips. In April 2023, Carol fulfilled a lifelong dream by traveling to Israel, where she was baptized in the Jordan River—an experience that held deep spiritual meaning for her. Her heart for serving others remained strong until the very end. Those who loved her take comfort in knowing she now has a front-row seat from a heavenly vantage point.
Carol worked with both the Dallas and Rockwall County's Juvenile Detention Departments. She was especially excited to help first time offenders work to clear their records. Carol is survived by her sisters, Sarah Haman and Laura Haman; her sister-in-law, Karon Batson; her nieces Angie Greenwood; Sage Clegg, Heather Steudeman, Elisheba Trinity. Ruth Haman and Matilda Haman and her nephews, David Batson and Brent Batson.
