Bria Hannon Connors

Bria H. Connors, age 51 passed peacefully on July 29, 2026 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she grew up in Garland, Texas, where she developed the warmth, humor, and curiosity that would define her throughout her life. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Corinne Connors and George Chua as well as other extended family members.

Bria was known for greeting everyone with a genuine smile and treating others with kindness and respect. Her giving heart was evident in both the big and small moments. She never hesitated to show appreciation, always leaving a generous tip and making those around her feel valued. She also appreciated the finer things in life and believed in enjoying them without apology. She delighted in treating herself and understood that life’s special moments were meant to be celebrated. Whether treating herself or surprising family and friends with thoughtful, creative, and delightfully themed gifts, she gave generously and wholeheartedly.

She found peace and joy in nature, especially anywhere there was water. Whether it was a peaceful fountain, a flowing river, or the sound of ocean waves, she had a special appreciation for beautiful water features and the serenity they brought. She also loved to stroll along tree-lined paths and soak in the beauty of mother nature.

Bria embraced life with an adventurous spirit, always eager to explore new places, experience new cultures, and try new foods. She loved to travel, often planning trips around concerts so she could experience her favorite artists in different venues. Over the years, she was fortunate to see many of the world’s greatest performers, creating memories she treasured. She was a huge fan of the Food Network and whether she was traveling to see a favorite chef’s restaurant or discovering a hidden diner, drive-in or dive restaurant, she approached every new experience with curiosity and enthusiasm. Her sense of adventure inspired those around her to step outside their comfort zones and savor life’s many possibilities.

Bria also had a signature sense of style. She loved expressing herself with bright, bold scarves, fun socks and colorful hats that reflected her vibrant personality. Together they announced her mood before she spoke, a joyful, fearless wardrobe that reflected a personality equal parts warm, daring, and pleasantly uncontained.

Professionally, Bria dedicated 20 years to Altair Global, where she served as Manager, Application Support. She built a respected career through her expertise, commitment, and professionalism while forming lasting relationships with colleagues who admired both her work ethic and her character.

Although she never had children of her own, she cherished the role of “Aunt Bria” to the children of her dear friends. She loved celebrating their milestones, encouraging their dreams, and creating lasting memories with them. Her love extended well beyond family ties, and she leaves behind countless people whose lives were enriched simply by knowing her.

Above all, Bria will be remembered for the joy she brought to others, her generous heart, her adventurous nature, and the love she shared so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her laughter, kindness, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial donation be made through A Living Tribute (https://shop.alivingtribute.org) where you can purchase a tree to be planted in Bria’s memory and help with reforestation of our National and State parks.
