Barbara Lynn Sturgeon

Barbara Lynn Strugeon, passed away peacefully at her home in Grand Priarie, Texas from natural causes. She was born May 21, 1942, St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles Cecil James and Ruby Faye James. She had many loves throughout her life. She was a longtime employee at Lockheed Martin she retired in 2000. She always loved her cats, gambling and bingo. She is survived by her children, Devery Jo-Dell Owen, Wendy Ratliff, Yolonda and Charles Mathews, Jared Ferenczi. 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. She preceded by her late husband Morris Stanley Sturgeon, her son Troy Hoecherl, and her granddaughter Amber Nicole.

Her Celebration of life is Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. at The Azle Deer Cove, 101 S Pearson Lane Azle, Texas 76020. 8173746772; food, drinks, and beer will be provided. If you can bring a covered dish or dessert is appreciate.

She was a nurturing, providing, hardworking, caring, loving, single parent at times. But knows how to have a good time! She always had an open door policy for everyone, her heart and kindness was bigger than she was. Her spontaneous gambling trips where she recruited all the family in the middle of the night, are memories we will never forget.

Whether you needed to stay the night, or stay a while

She'd help no matter what, no matter the trial.

She touched many hearts, and many have touched hers

She exceeded being a bestfriend, a mom and grandmother.
