The Ebert and Tyler families are sad to announce the death of William “Bill” Ebert on August 28, 2021. Bill was suddenly taken from us after contracting Covid-19 at his nursing home just days before his passing.
Bill spent his life battling and overcoming so many progressive, serious medical issues, in which he exemplified strength, courage, and dignity to us all. He did this all without losing his humor or memorable ability to tell a story (regardless of how many times you had heard it before, it was always new).
Bill lived a rich life, having traveled extensively, pursued his love of education with a master’s degree in journalism and multiple other post graduate classes. He actively dabbled in a wide variety of hobbies, namely thought-provoking poetry, cartoon art, and antique toy trains. His family remembers him warmly, especially his extensive repertoire of personal sayings [“See these spots?! Is that my shirt?”], his love of nature and dogs and his eclectic taste in music.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife [of 49 years!!], Debby (Muzzy). He was a very proud father to Bob, Allison [husband, Don Tyler], Stefan [wife, Dawn], and Paul [wife, Jess] and cherished grandchildren Melanie, Liam, Luke, Jacob, Caleb, Seba, Julianna, Finn, Grayson, and Willa. He also leaves behind beloved brothers, Joe [Leslie] and John [Cindi] and a loved pooch, Lady.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, please consider donating to this fund to sponsor the support of a children through @ChildFundInternational or @rosesrescue. Bill, Debby, and their family have sponsored 15 children and “rescued” 9 dogs! Please help keep his passion alive for serving others.
