Wade was a resident of Northampton Township in Cuyahoga Falls and was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania to the late Rheba and Wade Jaynes.
Wade is survived by his wife and bride of 70 years; Marian, son; Keith (Shele) Jaynes, daughter; Rachelle (Todd) Freeman, sister-in-law; Faye (David) Clark, nephew; Shawn (Regina) Clark, Shannon Clark, niece; Kim Phillips. Grandchildren; Keith Allen Jaynes, Chris and Amanda Legg, Adam and Kristen Jaynes, Lacey (James) Hansen, Ryan and April Freeman, Adam Freeman, Ethan Jaynes and Katie Jaynes. Wade also had 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Wade was preceded in death by his son; Gregory Wade and sister; Pearl Roby (nee' Jaynes). Wade was a proud to be a veteran of both the United States Air Force and Army. Wade served as a sergeant for the Northampton Police Department for 16 years and was an instructor for the police academy in Columbus, Ohio. Wade finished his career at the Ford Motor Company, Walton Hills, Oh stamping plant, where he was a part of the fire, safety and security department, retiring after 20 years.
Wade was a loving, honorable and devoted family man and husband. With the family nickname "Poppy," he loved designing and remodeling the home he built in Northampton, Ohio. His spare time was spent with family, taking vacations, hunting, fishing trips, opening his home for family gatherings and parties, watching western movies (loved The Duke) and military programs on the History Channel. He especially enjoyed sitting outside by the fire with his wife or sitting on the porch listening to the rain with his Yorkie (Moonie) and cats; Max, Felix and Fuzzy. He fabulous storyteller and could captivate family, friends and neighbors for hours.
Wade will be honored with a Military Ceremony amd private burial at the Northampton Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to: Hospice of the Western Reserve: http://www.hospicewr.org/give
