Pennie Lee Spencer

Pennie Lee Spencer, 71, of Milan, Ohio, formerly North Port, Florida passed away peacefully on 4/17/2026. Born on 11/22/1954 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to Wilbert and Lucille Phillips, who preceded her in death.

Pennie will always be remembered for her big heart, kind nature, and sharp wit. She loved gardening and took pride in watching her plants and flowers grow. Pennie was a devoted mother who loved her children and grandchildren above all else, well, except maybe her demon cat Luna.

Pennie is survived by her brother, Keith Phillips of Pine Grove, West Virgina. One son and three daughters, Mickey (Heather) Cozart of Albany, Ohio, Rebecca (Chris) Buchanan of Reedsville, Ohio, Cindy (Joe) Zadorozny of Milan, Ohio, Jodi Spencer of North Port, Florida; stepdaughter, Tina (Joe) Jablonsky of Englewood, Florida; grandchildren, Dalton Cozart, Alyssa Cozart, Connor Buchanan, Mikaela Buchanan, Zachary Vogt, and Elizabeth Vogt Meiser; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pennie was preceded in death by her devoted husband Jerald (Jerry) Spencer and her beloved sister Connie Gallaher.
