Patrick Ernest McCarthy of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on April 25, 2026. He grew up in Rockville, Maryland and graduated from Kansas University where he played on the golf team. He was an avid golfer throughout his life. He also enjoyed flying his plane and boating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Kitty McCarthy and survived by his children Laurie (Michael) and Kevin; grandchildren Adam, Isabel, Samantha, and Alexander; great-grandchild Lucas; siblings Karen and Bruce, and sister-in-law Terry.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Pavilion of Stow and Crossroads Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Pat in his final days.
A private celebration of life will take place in the near future.
