She was born in Akron, Ohio, and grew up in the Kenmore area. Patricia graduated from Kenmore High School.
Pat, as she was affectionately known, worked as a legal secretary for many years. During her marriage to her husband, Thomas “Tom” Kelley, Jr., the couple lived in several cities, including Farmington Hills, Michigan; Kansas City, Kansas; and Wilmington, North Carolina. After settling in Texas, Pat found joy in volunteering at a local hospital in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where she generously gave her time for many years.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Kelley, Jr.; her brother, Jack Hudson; and her sister, Carole Strawhecker.
She is survived by her loving children, Jeffrey Craddock of Fort Worth, Texas; Laura Eveleth of Brimfield, Ohio; and Debra Diehl of Dalton, Ohio. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will continue to cherish her memory.
Patricia’s greatest attribute was her kind and gentle nature. Even throughout her lengthy illness, she maintained her sweet demeanor, touching the lives of those around her with her warmth and grace. She will be remembered fondly for the kindness she shared and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care for the compassion, comfort, and exceptional care provided to Patricia during her final days.
A private family service will be held at a later date, with interment in Byesville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patricia’s honor to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care.
