In retirement, Sue found joy in the simple things—spending time with her beloved dogs and cats, playing solitaire, and getting lost in the pages of her favorite mystery and thriller novels. She was never without a Diet Coke in her glass or a piece of chocolate close at hand.
Sue was preceded in death by her brother, James “Ray” Selvia, and his wife, Kathryn “Cookie” Selvia, as well as her sister, Willa “Mae” Smith and Sister-in-law Louise Selvia and Brother -in-law Thom Chesko
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Chesko; daughter, Dawn; and granddaughter, Penelope. She also leaves behind her brother, William “Bill” Selvia; and in-laws, Barb & Steve Day, Jeanne Chesko, and Pat Meyer and many other friends and family.
In honor of Sue’s lifelong love for animals, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite local animal shelter. Throughout her life, she provided a home to many adopted pets, and her compassionate spirit will live on through the care of animals in need.
