

She was born on February 12, 1925, in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Michael and Adelina (Cichitano) Costanzo. After the death of their mother, Lana, her twin sister Lena, and their younger sisters(Theresa, Mildred, and Rose) were raised in a loving family, under the devoted care of their older sister, Ann.
Lana dedicated her life to her Catholic faith, teaching, travel, and spending time with her siblings and friends.In addition to earning her undergraduate and master degrees in education, she devoted her career to teaching. Lana is a former nun, a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Ecuador 91-93), and a retired Vista volunteer. She always looked to the bright side of life, enjoyed sports (basketball and baseball), and the desert culture in Mesa, Arizona.
Lana was preceded in death by her beloved parents, fourteen siblings including her sisters, Katherine Palermo (Ralph), Ann Costanzo, Mary Costanzo, Lena Yantos (Paul), Theresa Krizmanich, Mildred Keller (William), Rose Balitski (Walter), and brothers Anthony, John, Victor, Louis, Joseph, and two infants brothers (Joseph and William), and several nieces and nephews.
Lana is survived by several dear nieces and nephews, and many friends.
The family will schedule a celebration of life and Catholic mass at St. Mary’s, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Interment will be at the Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pennsylvania.
