Kathleen Elizabeth Fortney

She was born Nov. 20, 1947, in Cleveland to Agnes and John Horkey. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite Rohmer (Richard).

She is survived by her son, Troy Flohr (Rebecca); granddaughter, Kellyn Flohr; sister, Barbara Veverka (James); brother, John Horkey (Lynda); and boyfriend, Frederick Fri.

Kathy was a proud graduate of Medina High School.

She worked for Medina County for 42 years and served as clerk of courts from 1991 to 2010. She loved people and was known for her witty sense of humor.

Her devotion to her family was unmatched. She cherished her friendships. The laughter, time, and adventures she shared with them brought her great happiness.

Kathy will be remembered for her loving spirit and the beauty and joy she created for those around her.

At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Neptune Society in Parma is handling cremation arrangements. Memories may be shared, and gifts to the family may be sent through Neptune Society’s website.
