Joanne McConnell Rudloff

Joanne was born August 20, 1936, in East Cleveland, Ohio, as the only child of James H. and G. Irene (Witty) McConnell. August 20th was a special date in the family as it was also James’ birthday and the wedding anniversary of his parents, who had emigrated from Portadown, Northern Ireland. They all made their home in a duplex in East Cleveland.

Joanne was a 1954 graduate of Shaw High School in East Cleveland. She worked off and on while raising her family before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. Joanne later became a paramedic and firefighter, working mostly for the volunteer fire departments in Newbury and Russell townships.

Survivors include her three sons; Jim (Stephanie), Bill (Que), and Tom (Julie); her four grandchildren; Christian (Janelle) Rudloff, Matthew (Paula) Rudloff, Katie Rudloff, and Evan Rudloff; and her two great-grandchildren; Victoria Rudloff and Armin Rudloff.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents.

Joanne chose cremation, which was performed by Neptune Society. The family will celebrate her life privately at a later date.
