Joan E. Harper, age 64, from Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on the 14th of June, 2023. She was born March 24th, 1959 to Carl and Mollie Jo (Jimison) Knauss. She married Thom Harper on October 23rd, 1982.
Joan loved to spend time tending her flower gardens. She had a way with animals whether it was her indoor pets or a family of ducks that took up residence in her shrubs. Throughout her life she loved supporting others through energy work such as reiki. She loved giving back to others, using her creativity to concoct special essential oils, lotions, and soaps. All of this gave her the opportunity to do what she enjoyed most: Helping others.
Joan was a great friend to many, but spending time with her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. She loved going to the park, watching movies, and telling them stories about her life.
She is survived by her daughter Chelsie Harper (Justin Binder) of Bowling Green, Ohio; Grandchildren Zayden and Brody; brother, James Knauss (Vickie) of Pemberville, Ohio; sister, Caryl Turnow of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mollie Jo (Jimison) Knauss and sister Judith Knauss.
A celebration of life is being planned for September 2023.
