Dr. Harvey M. Tucker

Harvey attended Friend’s Central High School, Bucknell University & Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia, PA in which he also completed his Otolaryngology residency. His fellowship in Head and Neck surgery was with Dr. Joseph Ogura at Washington University of St. Louis, MO.

He served as Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY until he became Chairman of Otolaryngology and Communicative Disorders at the Cleveland Clinic in 1975. He continued in that position until 1993, when he became Professor of Otolaryngology at Case Western Reserve University.

Harvey continued to practice in a part time position at MetroHealth Medical Center, VA Hospital of Cleveland and St. Vincent’s Charity Hospital until a few years ago. He remained active in the Residency programs at these institutions. Harvey has authored over 170 Journal articles, 45 book chapters and three textbooks. His dedication to the field of Otolaryngology resulted in the education of more than 150 residents and fellows and had kept him engaged in Otolaryngology for the last 50 years.

He is survived by; Cindy, his wife of 44 years and children; Linda (Patrick), Saul (Elke) and Andrew. Also, grandchildren; Deanna, Maximilian, Lena and sister; Majorie (Douglas).

A Celebration of Life event is scheduled for Harvey on Sunday September 21, 2025 at 12:00 noon until 3:30 pm. At Centerville Mills: 8558 Crackle Road, Bainbridge OH 44023.
