Gervaise M Roy

Gervaise Roy, 90, devoted wife of Fernand for over 70 years, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Medina, Ohio. She was born in Sainte Julie, Quebec, Canada on September 16, 1928 to the late Clemente and Noella Cote Houde. Gervaise owned her own beauty salon, Gervaise Beauty Salon in North Olmsted, and was a devout member of the St. Richards Catholic Church. Along with the church, she also had a strong love to dance and travel with the love of her life Fernand. When not traveling she also enjoyed playing cards, golfing and just spending time with family and friends.

Along with her loving husband, she is survived by her daughters, Linda Ramge of Yorbalinda, California, and Johanne (Joe) Paskvan of Medina, Ohio. She is, also, survived by four grandchildren, Jeff (Anna) Ramge, Rachael Paskvan, Abbey (Dean) Schoenberg and Katie Paskvan; great grandchildren Kaide Paskvan and Dylan Smego and her sisters, Lucy Bergeron and Celine Fortin. Gervaise was preceded in death by a daughter, Corrine Roy and a sister, Helen Jacque and her brother, Andre Houde.

Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Richards Church, Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10am with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, cards and letters be sent to Mr. Fernand Roy c/o The Echelon of Medina, 635 N. Huntington Street, Medina, Ohio 44256.
