Donna J. Triplett

Donna (Nee’) Wentling was born in Canton, Ohio and grew up on a farm near Brewster, Ohio. In 1946, Donna married James Purdy. They were married for 23 years, had two children; Diana and Larry and lived in Stow, Ohio.

Donna worked for The Davey Tree Expert Company in Kent, Ohio until retirement. She was manager of Billing and Payroll Services.

Donna Purdy later married Melvin Triplett. They were married for 35 years. After retirement, they lived in Pinellas Park, Florida for 30 years. There Donna enjoyed dancing, golf, gardening (most beautiful roses), traveling and shopping trips with her daughter.

Donna was encouraging and supportive and very much enjoyed spending time with her family. She made holidays memorable and fun.

She will be greatly missed.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; Ray and Gladys Wentling. Siblings; Ray Wentling, Betty Wentling Hearn, Larry Wentling, Robert Wentling, Richard Wentling and husband Melvin Triplett.

She is survived by her daughter; Diana Purdy Havens, Port Ritchey, FL, son; Larry (Karen)Purdy, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, grandchildren Aaron Godfrey, Joshua Purdy, Jessica Purdy and sister Judith Wentling Kenny.

A celebration of life will be held, Saturday February 22nd, 2025 at 10:30AM at, Wingfoot Church, 1690 Hillside Terrace Akron, OH 44305
