Catherine "Cathie" Mary Kubiak

Catherine was born on November 28, 1952, to James and Pauline Moenich (nee Pervanje) in Cleveland, Ohio. Catherine had five siblings, David, Russell, Margaret, Charles and Tony.

Catherine married her husband, Gregory, in 1971. Catherine was the loving mother of three daughters, Christie (Bill Ollerton), Leah and Julie; grandmother of three: Matthew, Danny & Maggie. After raising her children, Catherine went to nursing school and went on to become a hospice nurse, her favorite job of all was being grandmother to Matthew, Danny and Maggie.

Catherine was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2016 and her family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in lieu of sending flowers:

Catherine’s family will be receiving guests at an informal gathering on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Cove Community Center located at 12525 Lake Avenue in Lakewood from 6pm – 8pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11 am at St. James Catholic Church located at 17514 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. A private interment will be held at a later date.
