Virginia M Miller

Born in Langleyville, Illinois to the late Peter and Rose Pacioni, Virginia spent her childhood and teenage years there until graduating from Taylorville High School. Virginia earned her undergraduate degree at Illinois State University and later did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin.

Virginia moved to Zion, Illinois and taught business classes at Zion-Benton High School. In 1967, Virginia married her beloved husband, John R. Miller, with whom she shared 43 wonderful years, traveling, building their family and business together. In 1989 she and John moved to Fort Myers, Florida where Virginia worked for the Lee County Solid Waste Department. (She loved telling people she worked at “The Dump”).

Virginia enjoyed a night on the town, fine dining, the Green Bay Packers, Tony Bennett and watching the latest goings on of Sonny on General Hospital. Her sharp wit was treasured by all, as was the warmth she radiated. In later years she doted over granddaughter Melanie Miller.

She was preceded in death by her adored husband John Miller, her son Dan Miller, and her brother Lee Pacioni.

Virginia is survived by her devoted son David and his wife, Julie; and her cherished granddaughter Melanie.

Her ashes will be interred during a private ceremony at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, Illinois.
