Born and raised in New Jersey, Patricia graduated from Teaneck High School before embarking on a life full of excitement and passion.
She began her career in theatrical arts on Broadway. Her adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for hard work led her to Long Beach Island, where she worked on the Ms. Barnegat Light Fishing Boat while raising her children. Eventually she moved to Southern California, where she built a fulfilling career in property management.
Concurrently, Patricia went on to serve the City of Burbank Water Department in various roles, including leading youth programs, and collaborating with artists and city officials to raise awareness about the importance of conserving water.
After retirement, her generous spirit and love for people found a new calling as a house director—affectionately known as “Mom Pat” for the Delta Delta Delta sorority at USC and Alpha Delta Phi at UCLA., where she made a lasting impact on many young lives.
Patricia was a woman of countless talents and passions. She was an incredible cook, an amazing rug hooker, and a stylish and creative soul, who appreciated art in all its forms. She loved gardening and cherished her dogs, who were loyal companions to her throughout the years.
Her laughter was infectious, her generosity boundless, her thoughtfulness unmatched and her energy was unstoppable.
In 2023, Patricia moved to New York to live with her son John and his family. During her time there, she deepened her faith, was baptized, and became a regular attendee of her local church, finding comfort and community in her spiritual journey.
Patricia leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Suzanne MacPhail, Janet Pohl and her husband Tran, Edward Bello, and John Bello and his wife Nicole. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Rude, and his wife Marie; her grandchildren: David, Briana and her husband Austin, Masaru and his wife Bethany, Shane, Logan, and Max; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Magnus.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life for Patricia will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 12PM at the Calvary Chapel Grace Fellowship in Tuxedo, NY.
